Ernst Baltensperger
Ernst Baltensperger (*1942) is a Swiss monetary and banking economist, professor emeritus of economics at the University of Berne (1981-2003) and long-time director of the Gerzensee Study Center. He was a member of the Bank Council of the Swiss National Bank and President of the Swiss Society for Economics and Statistics (1996-99). His research focuses on monetary theory, central bank policy and international monetary transactions.
