Robert E. Hunter
Robert E. Hunter (*1940) is an American diplomat who served as ambassador to NATO from 1993 to 1998. He is considered one of the main architects of the “new NATO”. He was previously NSC Director for Europe and the Middle East under President Carter and a Senior Fellow at RAND. Hunter has published several works on Euro-Atlantic security, including “Security in Europe” (1972), “Presidential Control of Foreign Policy” (1982) and “Building Security in the Persian Gulf” (2010).
