Hans-Werner Sinn
Hans-Werner Sinn (*1948) is a German economist, Professor Emeritus at LMU Munich and former President of the ifo Institute (1999-2016). He founded the CESifo research network and conducted research on tax policy, environmental economics, resources, social security, banking theory, risk and macroeconomic system comparisons. He was awarded the Bavarian Maximilian Order and the Ludwig Erhard Prize, among others, for his academic work.
