Beat Kappeler
Beat Kappeler (*1946) is a Swiss economist and columnist, former General Secretary of the Swiss Federation of Trade Unions (1977-1992) and professor in Lausanne (1998-2007). He is a liberal commentator and writes for NZZ am Sonntag, Le Temps and Schweizer Monat. He has been awarded the Zurich Journalism Prize and the Wilhelm Röpke Prize for his journalistic work.
